Welcome,

Few Alpacas
is a small farm, owned and operated by Ralph and Betsy Nelson, located in the heartland of Indiana.
Since entering the world of alpacas in 1999, we have been dilligently growing a herd of beautiful, healthy Huaycayas. Our
core heard of foundation females consists of several whites, all carrying Accoyo genetics, a beautiful fawn who
has thrown both fawn and black, a stunning black whose first cria is the spitting image of her, and a lovely medium silver
grey.
Careful consideration is given
when choosing a stud, whether it be an outside breeding to a male from a championship bloodline...such as Peruvian Accoyo
Royal Fawn or Peruvian Accoyo Felix, to lesser known males with championship qualities, or to one of our own ribbon-winning
herdsires.
Whether breeding for full-Peruvians,
or a mixture of Peruvians, Chileans or Bolivians, our goal has been, and will continue to be, to produce alpacas in a wide range of colors that possess the best
possible attributes in conformation and fiber combined with award-winning genetics. In other words...
