leading questions drawn from the book. To set up a book club visit, e-mail Christine at cetter71@earthlink.net

CLASSES
Christine has taught writing and literature for twelve years in levels ranging from middle school
through community college with the bulk of her experience in high school.
One of the classes she loves and misses most teaching is the AP Language Class. When
she taught it, she found that students struggled with the "why did the author do..." kind of questions...what an
opportunity! Have Christine come and the kids can ask the author, "Why did you use this metaphor?" or "What is this imagery
for?", etc.
She can also come in and talk about the writing process with MANY drafts of rewrites...
The novel is not appropriate for students younger than juniors in high school; however, the
one sex scene in it would open great discussions on chastity...
RETREATS
Christine is hoping to formulate a few weekend retreats based on the celebration of women of spirit. If you would
like information as details are worked out, e-mail her and let her know...
