"Custom" bracket, just a 1/8x3/4 piece of galvainized steel bent and drilled to fit.
IMG_0183.JPG
Here's the oil cooler all mounted up with the nice pimpy -AN fittings.
IMG_0184.JPG
Zoomed out a bit. Below the car is the first oil cooler that I accidentally busted while doing this.
IMG_0185.JPG
Here is the sandwich plate (Permacool) and oil filter. More pretty -AN fittings as well.
old_strut_top
Stock strut tower, notice the Tokico adjustable strut.
mod_strut_tower
Modified strut tower to accomodate teh GC camber plates. Just 3 extra little holes.
c_plate_top
Sizing up the camber plate.
c_plate_bottom
Unmodified camber plate from underneath.
mod_camber_plate
Modified camber plate next to the original.
strut_top
Assembled strut with GC coilovers and camber plate.
perch_closeup
Modified strut with the factory spring perch removed. Much cleaner installation!
wheelwell
Original strut (well, from a '78 celica) with the original spring. Also notice the stainless brake lines and slotted rotors (RE: rotors - hey, we all make mistakes).
modded_perch
Fully assembled modified strut.
enigine_long
Roof top shot of the 18RG, I need to refinish the header!
engine_pass
Engine from the intake side. The natural aluminum valve cover isn't so bad, though I think I will eventually get it powder coated black (or some other color).
engine_drive
Engine from the exhaust side. The header will also get ceramic coated.
engine_top
Top of the engine, the plug wires have been replaced since this shot. instead of Accel 8mm wires, they are now "Top Gun" 8.8 mm wires (red colored).
gauges
Interior shot showing some of the gauges and the Momo wheel.
pass_front
A shot of the front of the car. These are 15x6 wheels off of an '85 Celica Supra. Traction is provided by 195/50-15 Bridgestone RE71 tires (old school performance).
panhard
Here's a shot of the adjustable panhard bar in the rear (home made).
rear_spring_comp
New Afco circle track spring (225 lbs-in) next to the old cut stock spring (about 65-70 lbs-inch).
rear_spring_comp2
Top view shows how closely the Afco spring matches up to the stock unit. If Afco didn't grind flats onto both ends, it would be perfecct.
rear_spring
Installed on the car. I got the 11" springs, they are a touch too long, if I get another set I'll either go with another brand and get 10.5", or I'll get the 8" and shim the top for proper height (or add adjustable height lower perches).
seats2
A picture of the Corbeau seats and RCI harnesses, also the Autopower roll bar i the background. The harness will be upgraded soon with some cam-lock units.
seats
Another shot of the seats. If you like these seats and are over 6 feet tall, think again, it's been a real pain getting them mounted in the car, and I'm still not thrilled with the current mounts (no sliders). These actually raise you up relative to the stock seats.
rollbar
Close up of the passenger seat and roll bar.
battery2
13 lb battery mounted in the trunk. I used a Wal-mart amplifire installation kit for the heavy wires from the trunk to the engine bay.
battery1
Another shot of the battery.
IMG_0199.JPG
Home made strut brace. Full shot, looking over the intake.
IMG_0200.JPG
Closeup of intake side attachment.
