Pastor
Thomas M. Alexander is an Ordained Elder in the Pentecostal Assemblies
of the World (PAW). He founded Carson Christian Outreach in 1981.
Eld. Alexander has worked with the PAW California District Council, directing the State Choir and co-writing the Bible quiz with his wife, Sis. Marian Alexander.
Along with being the pastor of the church and principal of the school, Eld. Alexander also works 40 hours a week as a civil engineer. He has worked for the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works for over 35 years. He is thankful to God for giving him the strength to remain on his job and also minister to God's people.
Eld. Alexander was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1940, the 11th of 16 children of Arling and Tiny Alexander. He was turned his life over to Jesus, was baptized in Jesus name, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of 7. He and his family were faithful members of Bethesda Apostolic Church in St. Louis. After moving to Los Angeles in 1961, he joined Bethany Apostolic Church in Los Angeles, where he directed the choir for many years.
In 1963, Eld. Alexander married his lovely wife, Marian. They haved fellowshipped together in love ever since, raising three beautiful children and serving God in every aspect of their lives.
In 1970, Eld. Alexander's father was appointed to pastor a new church in Pasadena. Eld. Alexander and his family went to the new Pasadena church and served there for several years. It was during this time that he was called by God to preach the gospel.
Eld. Alexander served as Assistant Pastor at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church in Compton, CA, before stepping out to start the ministry in Carson.
One of Eld. Alexander's most precious qualities is his meek and humble spirit. He is approachable and warm and shows concern for God's people and for the community.
Eld. Alexander is also known for writing lovely poems and song lyrics.
