you won't believe how this tastes. plus it's sooo easy, takes
very few ingredints, bakes fast, and you should cut it in little bitty
pieces. heh heh.
this recipe is from the chef cb vaults. looks like it was cut
from bon appetit, but maybe not.
have an unbaked pie crust in a 9" glass pan.
preheat the oven to 400.
in a microwave safe 1-quart bowl, microwave a half stick of butter
til it is very soft, but not melted in a puddle.
now stir in:
4 very heaping tablespoons cocoa
1-1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup nuts (recipe calls for pecan halves - not having those, I used
sliced almonds)
1/2 cup coconut (if this seems excessive, I'm sure you could use another
1/2 cup nuts, maybe another kind)
1/2 cup eveporated milk (not sweetened condensed)
mix with a fork til well-combined and pour into the crust. bake
in the preheated oven about 30 - 35 minutes, or til the center doesn't
jiggle when you joggle the pan. let the pie cool before cutting.
8 servings, more for normal people.
