FALL 2008 NEWS:

It has been a nice summer for all of the members of the Silk Strings. We had taken another long break till the beginning of August due to family expansions schooling, etc. Gradually we have been resuming our activities since the 6th of August. On the day, we played at the Hope to Hiroshima at Green Lake in Seattle. It is our summer tradition to participate the event as musicians. Also Shiho worked with other musicians by playing koto, base koto and composing a few new numbers and released a great album with them in spring. We just had a show for CD promotion in the end of August. It consists of original numbers by koto, harp, flute and more. Please see the link below to learn more about the album. They will have another concert to introduce the numbers from the album in early November.

We will be performing more often to public toward the end of the year. Please check our coming events. We hope to see you soon.

CD RELEASE: Shiho Kurauchi released her new album collaborating with other musicians. They wrote original numbers for the album and played them with koto, base koto, variety of flutes, harps and more. Very meditating and inspiring. For more information please click.
