If you are thinking about becoming a CASA volunteer in Carson City, Nevada this is where you can find some information. You can also call the office—882-6776—for more information.

What do CASA volunteers do? CASA volunteers are appointed by Carson City’s Juvenile Court to speak in the court and in the system on behalf of children who have been removed from the home by child welfare  due to allegations of abuse and neglect.

These children are at a crossroads in their lives. Some return home to their parents. Some go on to other permanent placements. These children need an advocate—someone to help keep track of them as individuals and speak about their needs.

Across the nation, there are 900 CASA/GAL program sites and approximately 52,000 CASA volunteers speaking for an estimated 206,000 abused and neglected children.

To the left, you will links to the pages on this website. Again, if you have questions, call us—
