Yet Mark

By Carlos Cardona

Yet mark you not the wit of your words nor the keeness
Of your perception, for expectant attention cannot but
Scatter them in its demanding wake. So if you seek true
Greatness of mind and spirit, they must be left so alone
As to let them return to that fountain from which they spring.
Only such faith in the source can free a spirit that may echo
Through the Halls of your Being.
