This is a composition baby doll.

She was filthy and poorly dressed.

This composition doll needed cleaning.

The cloth body was severely damaged.

The foam rubber stuffing in this dog had

disintegrated and discolored the cloth body.

The old (powdered) stuffing had to be

removed and the body mended.

This dog was made of real fur and stuffed with

excelsior. It needed a lot of work.

After it was cleaned, all the seams needed to be

restitched. Both eyes and one ear were missing.

AFTER RESTORATION

She was cleaned and given new elastic inside.

A new embroidered organdy dress and bonnet were made.

The composition head, arms, and legs were cleaned.

A new cloth body was made, and doll reassembled.

New hypoallergenic stuffing was used.

Discoloration from the old stuffing was cleaned off.

The body was restored to its original shape

and a new collar was made.

A replacement ear was made from the original

tail, and a new tail made. A new leather nose was made.

New eyes and extra stuffing were provided.
