Backgammon boards and tables are hand inlaid using wood from native trees and encrusted with iridescent mother-of-pearl.  This ancient game of chance and skill is still meticulously created in historic workshops.

 

Chalk patterns are hand stamped on Damascus tablecloths using wooden blocks into which ancient designs were hand carved.  Working at home, skilled women sew silk thread over the chalk patterns with foot treadle sewing machines.  When the embroidery is complete, the cotton tablecloths are washed to remove the chalk patterns.

 

Table covers are created in workshops by artisans using hand loomed jacquard fabric and other fine textiles.  the designs are unique and the color combinations will complement the decor of any room.  Runners and matching pillow covers are also available.

 

Rich, hand loomed silk brocade, cashmere and sheer goat hair scarves will take your breath away.  Each scarf is hand made with the finest silk brocade, cashmere or goat hair fabric.  The goat hair scarves are approximately six feet long and can be used as shawls as well.  Choose from many colors.

 

 

Apricot wood cookie molds, spoons, ladles, mortar and pestle sets, and even squash corers are hand made to last.  These wooden cooking utensils are cut extra heavy to give them strength as well as utility.  Wooden utensils will not conduct heat and will not burn your hand like stainless steel if left in boiling liquid.  Also, they will not scratch teflon pans or melt or deform when in contact with hot pans.
