of organizations that provide educational programs and research information
for those seeking funding for
nonprofit activities.

The Better Business Bureau's mission is to create a community of trustworthy businesses, set standards
for marketplace trust, encourage and support best practices, celebrate marketplace role models, and denounce substandard marketplace
behavior. On the BBB website, one can find charity accountability standards, national wise giving reports,

Charity University (www.charityuniversity.org), strives to make it easy to take a class from your office, conference room
or home. Charity University offers live teleclasses (by telephone), and on-demand classes that have been pre-recorded.
Class materials are downloadable from the website, and classes are taught by the nonprofit sector's top experts.
~ Forum for Fundraising (www.forumforfundraising.com/), offers pre-scheduled, online "webinars" and archived seminars that
may be viewed online. Forum for Fundraising presents an ongoing program of web-based seminars for the continued betterment
of established fundraising professionals.
~ The Foundation Center of
New York (www.foundationcenter.org/), offers online training courses
that reinforce lessons with interactivity, assignments and self-tests. Some classes are free of charge, and others require
a modest fee. Courses are self-guided.
~ The Grantsmanship
Training Center, based in Los Angeles, California (http://www.tgci.com/), was founded in 1972
to offer grantsmanship training to non-profit and government agencies. Before this time, no such training existed and
small organizations often lacked the skills to compete for grant opportunities. The Center
began as a local project in Los Angeles, but as word spread, demand increased. Today, cities across the nation are offered
the opportunity to host the Center's highly regarded grant writing training programs, including Corpus Christi. For

~ The National Committee on Planned
Giving (http://www.ncpg.org), is the preeminent association for professionals in the charitable gift planning field. NCPG offers "Virtual Seminars."

~ The Nonprofit Resource
Center (www.nprc.org), located in San Antonio, offers workshops on proposal writing,
special events, legal and accounting issues, management issues, program evaluation, board development, and many other pertinent
topics. It provides educational resources members of the nonprofit and philanthropic community need to grow professionally
and to manage their organizations effectively.
~ The Planned Giving Design Center (www.pgdc.com/usa/), is a national network of hosting organizations that proudly provide over 23,000 members with timely, objective content on the subjects of charitable taxation and planned giving; an engaging community; and a collection of services aimed at facilitating charitable gifts.

Texas communities by maximizing access to resources for nonprofits, through leveraging Internet technology to facilitate and
