SOUTHERN CRUISERS RIDING CLUB
NORTH CAROLINA STATE MASCOT
KEEBLER

The chapter that has possession of the mascot should have the mascot available at all chapter rides and events.  The Chapter that has the mascot should post their rides and events on the NC State Delphi forum ..

http://forums.delphiforums.com/SCCCapeFear/start

(or the State forum in the state they're located).

The chapter that acquires him will immediately contact the NC STO by e-mail to let him know who is in possession of the mascot.  That way this site can update his whereabouts and an e-mail point of contact so arrangements can be made for the chapter that has him and the chapter that is trying to make arrangements to get him.

Another chapter, whether from the chapter's home state or another state, can come and take possession of the mascot if they have at least one Officer and at least 5 members and show up and participate in the event.  An Officer must be an officially recognized SCRC officer:  2nd , 1st, State Officer, Regional Officer, National Officer.

They can't just ride in, show up, take the mascot and ride out - they have to participate in the event or ride (be flexible).  Not necessarily from beginning to end, but a majority of the time is acceptable. The chapter showing up to get the mascot needs to make arrangements prior to the event so there isn’t any miscommunication on a meeting point, date and time.  The chapter that has it should have the right attitude on having to turn him over and that it’s all about having fun.

If more than one chapter shows up - it goes to the chapter with the highest number of members present.  Of course, this can be an issue in some areas when you have very small chapters competing with larger chapters. I guess some competition or other selection process could be used like distance rode or has the chapter ever had the mascot before. Heck, even flip a coin if there is more than one chapter that arrives.  Again, remember it is supposed to be fun.  The object is that the mascot doesn't stay with the same chapter all of the time - He should move around.

Basically - and most importantly - it is supposed to be fun.  It is supposed to encourage multi-chapter participation.  It will not be auctioned or sold off in any way.  It wasn't designed to be a hostage/fundraising thing for any charity.  We do enough of that already.

Ok - if I didn't say it enough - FUN FUN FUN.  If this ever starts creating hard feelings, the NC mascot program will end.  It’s supposed to encourage riding and chapters getting together, not cause hard feelings. If there is ever any question as to the mascot guidelines or who should take the mascot, the NC State Officer or the Asst. State Officer has the final word.

Special request......  Due to the way the vest is made, I request not to put any more patches on it.  Pins are acceptable though.
Thank You....
