Each year since cancer took Harold "Tarzan" Anthony, we like to honor his memory by making a trip to his birthplace and the place we scattered his ashes.  What better way to honor a fellow rider than to go for a ride?

We will also be honoring My wife, Melody Joy Love who passed on 12 Sept 2008.

He was born in the mountains of NC, Bryson City.

Those from the Cape Fear Chapter will be making the trip out there on Oct 2 2009.  We'll get settled in and get a good nights rest.

Saturday 3 Oct, we will meet up for breakfast at 8am in Bryson city. 

From there, we ride the "road to no-where", a road they were building over the mountain, but, ran out of funds to complete.  We hold a brief ceremony. 

From there, we ride over to Robbinsville, after a short break and topping off the fuel tanks, we will go ride the Cherahola skyway and then over to ride Deals Gap.  Then back to Bryson City.

Arrangements to meet for dinner will be discussed for the group.

(After dinner, we like to head over and visit the Casino on the Cherokee Reservation and lose a dollar or three.)

The 4th we head back home............

This year, the main "headquarters" will be the Ridgetop Motel & Campground.

The camp site is right next to the Motel for those that want to bring tents.  1 tent per site  $15 a night.

Word of warning:  The last few years there has been increased  Tenn Law Enforcement looking hard and giving tickets out for Non-Dot helmets speeding, and other infractions.  So, it's up to you, just giving ya a heads up.

Because of where it's at and with so many people making reservations, this is a rain or shine event.  Preferably shine.  LOL
