Mahalo Nui Loa! For visiting the
Halau Hula O Manu O'o website. Organized in 1986, the halau is a project of Ethnic Arts Institute and it's focus is the dance of ancient Hawai'i (Hula Kahiko). The group performs rare chants, time honored classics and occasionally debuts original works. The charmed voices of Manu O'o (the Black Honey-Eaters) unite with traditional instruments to accompany our dancers as we depict Hawai'ian folklore, myths and legends in our own inimitable style. Repertoire is from among the sacred hulas, classical dances honoring Hawai'ian royalty, and reflections of select dance types within the broad spectrum of traditional Hula. E ho'onanea! Relax and enjoy photos of Halau Hula O Manu O'o at the Solano Stroll Festival. |
