Welcome to Huxley College! Error Report Prototype
These pages were originally created for Stephen Barnes' System Analysis class in the Spring of 2003 at Oklahoma State University. Team members included Greg Crothers, Austin Malchar, Jacob Mays, and Michael Gearhart.
Our assignment was to create a prototype web-based error report and tracking system for a fictional college's I.T. department. We were to design a back-end database using Microsoft Access and Visible Analyst, and a front-end, web-implemented graphical user interface for interactions with the database. The two halves were to be tied together using a server-sided scripting language such as ASP or PHP.
The pages presented here make up the User Interface portions of the assignment, which were designed, laid out, and scripted by Greg Crothers. They consist of one User Problem Submission screen, which the end-users (i.e. students and faculty) use to submit errors to the I.T. department; and three Administration Screens, which the I.T. Administrator uses to view the problems and keep track of various data.
To use these pages properly, JavaScript must be enabled and any pop-up blockers turned off. For each page, a small pop-up window will appear containing a description of that page's purpose and layout, which may then be closed after reading. The pages are fully interactive, but due to the prototypical nature of the pages and the lack of server-sided script support, all interaction is created via client-sided scripting.
