ˇCafé Intifada! is excited to announce a new blog called ˇCafé Intifadaˇ Films Transformation It is our hope that this will
become an important resource for educators, activists and scholars. We will be focusing on films of significant social importance
and artistic quality. From time to time we will also include films that don't fit one or both of these criteria if the film
is of particular social import, popularity, or has a message that needs to be deconstructed or challenged. Films will be
organized into the categories (listed below) so that, using the blog's "Tags" feature, readers can access a filmography
around a particular theme.
All film listings will include the year the film was released, the ratings, if any, the quality of closed captioning,
the director, the actors as well as a description of the film as it pertains to the film categories, and if the film has been
released on DVD, what special features it provides, as well.
It is our hope that this project will provide an important community and social service. We would appreciate feedback,
suggestions for new categories, film suggestions, etc.
The process of creating this filmography is tedious. Each film is viewed at least twice, often three or four times, along
with the viewing of the extra features on the disc as well. Notes are reviewed and a review is written. For this reason,
few films will be reviewed that have only recently been released into theaters, though we don't rule out that possibility.
Be patient with us. This should be a viable resource when it amasses a catalog of 100 films. This should take a number
of weeks. It will not happen over night. We anticipate this filmography becoming much larger than that as time goes by.
Peace with justice, and above all else,
Love!
