   Emergency Plan and Card


Written emergency plans should include brief but specific information about the person’s medical condition, including physical and mental state, age, allergies, medical conditions including diagnoses and relevant past medical history, medications currently taking, medications to avoid.  Emergency inventions strategies which best address unique needs.  Caregiver information includes names, phone numbers and address and insurance information and Primary care physicians and specialist’s names and addresses.

MAKE SURE THAT WRITTEN EMERGENCY PLANS ARE PLACED IN SECURE AND SAFE PLACES. CONSIDERING PLACING COPIES IN CONVENIENT PLACES SUCH AS YOUR CAR GLOVE COMPAREMENTS, WALLETS, ETC. SO THAT THEY ARE AVAILABLE WHEN AN EMERGENCY ARISES. 

 Emergency Medical Information Card

 This has been developed to assist medical staff at emergency rooms, if a CADASIL patient was to be admitted.

It is very important to avoid Thrombolyisis & anticoagulant treatments, Arteriography, Vasoconstricting medicines (issued from rye ergot or from Tripoptan) and products aimed at unblocking blood vessels as they increase the risk of a hemorrhage. This is stated on this emergency card.
