In June , five members of our chapter attended Division Convention in Lexington, VA. We visited the home of
Stonewall Jackson, Stonewall Jackson's grave, VMI, Lee Chapel and toured the town. Our Chapter won many awards including best
Chapter Scrapbook.
In July, three members of our Chapter attended General Convention in Columbus, GA. We visited the naval museums,
Ft. Benning Infantry museum, Columbus museum, the Opra House and walked through the town. Again our Chapter and Division won
several awards.
In August, we kicked off our year with our first meeting. We visited the Stonewall Jackson Shrine and had 25 people in
attendance.
In September we visited our 'adopted' veterans at the nursing home and gave them American flags and handmade cards for
Veteran's Day
In October we visited Stratford Hall, the home of Robert E. Lee as a child.
In November we again visited the Veterans. We also sent cards to the Randolph Relief Ladies.
In December we visited the Veterans and took them gifts. We also participated in the Fredericksburg Christmas Parade.
In Januray we worked as a group on our Chapter scrapbook.
In February we participated in the Valentines for Vets Project by visiting the Veterans and taking them Valentines Cards.
In March, we will visit Chatham. Members are also attending UDC Spring Boards in Richmond, VA where the UDC Memorial
Building will have a dedication ceremony as it is being listed on a National Historic Registry.
