NEWSFLASH - LEAP is the Recipient of Two Prestigious ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS for The 2006-2007 Academic Year:
(1) NYC DEP'T SANITATION GOLDEN APPLE RECYCLING AWARD (2) BRONX BOTANICAL GDN GOLDEN SHOVEL COMPOSTING AWARD.
These awards bring an additional $6K into our school's dedicated RECYCLING FUND. Special Kudos to LEAP's
Recycling Committee chaired so amazingly by Elissa Mopper '2007 (Grinnel College '2011).

L.E.A.P's the Club that Saved Earth Day! When the Faculty EarthDay Committee voted in 2001 to
stop holding this event on an annual basis, L.E.A.P. Ecology Club voted to take on that responsibility. Although we
do have an EarthDay Committee, it is really the entire club membership who plans the on-Campus Festival & the EarthDay
Assembly. Members of other clubs are encouraged to help coordinate and participate in this challenging event. To
