The "Real" Cindy Sheehan Letter

You may not have seen this letter that Cindy Sheehan wrote from Ireland on Memorial Day. This is not the "polite" letter that appeared in the mainstream press in which Ms. Sheehan talks about being tired and needing to step back. You may not have seen this letter because it is her raw, emotional response to the failures of the Democratic Party, and groups like Move On and True Majority, and publications like The Nation (which are all apologists for the Dems) don't want you to know about it and have to explain their part in this fiasco. Ms. Sheehan knows exactly who failed her and why.

Now, with Democrats in control of Congress, I have lost my optimistic naivete; and have become cynically pessimistic as I see you all caving into "Mr. 28%".

By JUAN GONZALEZ
DAILY NEWS COLUMNIST

In the middle of the Bronx's Van Cortlandt Park, a 380,000-square-foot hole in the ground lies at the heart of a growing scandal.

Back in 2004, the city decided to build a water filtration plant in the park, arguing it was cheaper than other locations.

But the Daily News has learned the cost of the project has already skyrocketed from $1.3 billion to $2.1 billion - and that may just be the start.
