Doin' the Lead Singer Thing....

Many years ago I joined a band "posing" as a lead vocalist/frontman, thinking I could edge my guitar playing in there. As it turned out, the other "guitar player" was too insecure about someone stepping on his toes and stealing his spotlight (he didn't want another guitar player around and wouldn't work with me in that respect; the band also didn't want to utilize my studio expertise for the recordings either). I actually recorded a CD with this band, Sabretooth, called "Voodoo Reign" on which I performed only vocals and wrote the title track. The Carvin V220 you have seen elsewhere on this site was tattooed on my arm on New Year's Eve of December 1985, and unfortunately it is all I have left of this excellent guitar besides fond memories of hundreds of gigs.
