Shrine to the Dallas Cowboys

AKA: America's Team! Team of the Nineties!
5 Times! Any Questions?
The most impressive Superbowl win total in the NFL!!!!
(frisco only has 10-game regular season with their 6 free wins in their wimpiest of divisions, and as for the packers, pre-1967 championships don't count--it was an easier game back then...)

Simply the Very Best...

Message to The Faithful---
YOU'VE GOTTA BELIEVE!!!!
Weeks #5-8, Beat Washington, yet dropped 3 "sure-things":
Comments: In the middle of the season we are introduced to a dichotomy--a team that can smell a big game (against Washington) and play unbeatably, and also play a fine 1st half against the Colts (remember the drive where all they did for 12 or 13 plays was run up the Colts' throat with Emmitt, the offensive line scooting their defense around like so many plastic army men?)  And yet they can also get overconfident to the point that they lose focus and concentration, and play with non-chalance, like against the Eagles or Giants, or against the Colts in the 2nd half.  Where's the sense of urgency?  No fire in their eyes.  No excitement.  I feel that Chan Gailey needs to reevaluate his motivation efforts.  They need to watch out for those trap games, the ones they just "can't lose".  This team is capable of so much more.  'Boys, please disprove the ney-sayers!

Week #2, Dallas 24, Atlanta 7:
Week #2 Comments: Great game by Emmitt (broke Dorsett's all-time rushing record, capturing 4th) and a great play by Ellis, with his 87-yard interception return for the win.  Also, great job by the defense, although they had breaks with Chandler not playing and Anderson spraining his knee early on.  Troy had somewhat of an off night, but the win was secured and they can enjoy their week off!

Week #1, Dallas 41, Washington 35:
Week #1 Comments: Remember that great game against the Redskins in the early '80s when the Cowboys came back two different times?  When Brad Schamm and Charlie Watters (on Dallas KRLD radio) were yelling, "You've gotta believe!"?  It's happenned again! The Cowboys faithful were definitely rewarded for their patience today!  The 4th quarter began with the score Redskins 35, Cowboys 14 (it was almost tempting to switch the channel...).  In 13 minutes the Cowboys scored 21 points to tie it up, then scored 6 more in overtime on a beautiful pass from Aikman to the Rocket!  This was one for the history book, and I'll remember it always!

Offensively, a very fine game, with great contributions by Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Micheal Irvin, Rocket Ishmiel, and the offensive line!

Defensively, WE NEED DEION!  BADLY!  Mathis was picked on all day.  An okay backup (maybe), but he needs a lot of work!
