We offer 3 different formulas:
1 – Totally independent –
you rent La Maison Lautier by the week, Saturday to Saturday, and chose how to spend your time. You can fly to Carcassonne
(40 minute drive) or Toulouse (70 minute drive) or Perpignan (90 minute drive), and then rent a car. Or you can take the TGF
from Paris to Narbonne, rent a car in Narbonne, a 35-minute drive. You will find several restaurants a few blocks away in
town, and the bakery is right next-door! The kitchen is appointed well enough for you to shop for your own delicacies in the
nice shops in town or the nearby towns or local markets. The area is full of fascinating places to visit – which I detail
under "activites" in the website.
2. - Partially independent – You
arrive at the airport or train station of your choice and rent a car. You rent a room (we have 3 with double beds) by the
week, and we offer you breakfast and some options for meals, and a delightful kitchen in which to prepare them. We’ll
provide you with maps and suggestions of what to visit each day – giving you a choice of places to visit and activities
to enjoy. There is so much to see and do!
3. Totally pampered and guided
- from the moment you arrive at either one of the 3 airports mentioned above or the train station in Narbonne. We pick you
up and bring you to the house. You will only have to carry your suitcase upstairs, as I have a delicate back. We offer you
a number of activities each day and take you there and share all our knowledge with you. If we don’t know the history,
we’ll get a guide and translate every word – well almost every word - for you. We’ll pick up your croissant
in the morning and brew the café or the’ - or even blend up a fruit smoothie! We’ll chose the restaurants for
you and drive you there and safely home. We'll escort you to our very favorite secret places to visit – and even take
you to our most favorite antique shops, where we know how to get special discounts. If you’re an athlete, we’ll
show you our favorite hiking or biking routes – and even show you some really special beaches. Our friend Sandrine is
a wine maker and can take you on your own guided tour of the local wineries. Eric can give you private cooking class.
