  1. I am most productive between about 9:30 AM and lunchtime, then I hit another peak starting around 3 PM and going through about 6 PM.
  2. I am a self-described "Mondale liberal" and a feminist, although I believe militant activism isn't effective.
  3. I absolutely love nacho cheese Doritos but have sworn off them for now.
  4. I believe there is only one best way to position the toilet paper roll on the holder (paper hanging down from the front).
  5. I love going to yard sales and bargaining with the sellers.
  6. I don't own a lot of stuffed animals because I get sad thinking about them sitting on a shelf and not being played with.
  7. I like symmetry.
  8. Most of the time I like to run things and lead groups.
  9. I enjoy a quiet lunch at least once a week, just me, food from any one of my favorite restaurants and the Wall Street Journal.
  10. I am an ovo-lacto vegetarian, and eat too much cheese.
  11. I absolutely hate typos, especially seeing "it's" representing anything other than "it is."
  12. My husband says I sometimes snore.
  13. I am a NC State graduate, from the School (now College) of Design.
  14. Our dog Josie sleeps in our room on the floor at night during the summer, and on the bed in winter (this is her choice).
  15. My house right now could be a lot cleaner.
  16. The person I admire most and would most like to emulate is: my dad.
  17. I am a mediocre cook and mostly stick to simple, easy-to-prepare dishes.
  18. I enjoy devising nicknames for people.
  19. My first job consisted of doing paste-up at a quick-print shop, and earning $5.00/hour.
  20. I hate Microsoft but love MSN Messenger.
  21. I love sending custom photos to my mobile phone for use as wallpaper.
  22. I like "The Powerpuff Girls" (I'm most like Buttercup) and I love SpongeBob.
  23. I am a skilled but sometimes pushy and impatient driver.
  24. I am usually late to almost everything, although this bad habit has improved a lot over the years.
  25. I love college football and college basketball and used to love baseball (before strikes, drug use and high player salaries disgusted me), now I'm more of a casual fan.
  26. I love to read murder mysteries, especially around the holidays.
  27. I sometimes start things I don't finish.
  28. I cut my husband's (and my own) hair.
  29. If I am alone in the car, I have trouble staying awake on any trip over an hour or so.
  30. Besides knitting, my other mostly dormant hobbies and pastimes include: origami, singing, drawing/painting, and beading.
  31. I stuttered as a child and didn't outgrow it completely until high school.
  32. I sometimes get overly territorial about "my stuff."
  33. I'm not very good at telling jokes.
  34. I see myself as usually a positive and optimistic person.
  35. I secretly like it when people find ways to tell me I'm "different."
  36. I will only wear sandals if I've painted my toenails.

  38. I hate TV reality shows and have never watched Survivor, the Bachelor, Fear Factor or the like, although my sister taped all the episodes of "Mad Mad House" (which aired on the Sci-Fi Channel) and I watched and enjoyed every one.
  39. I carry a BIC four-color pen in my purse.
  40. I throw like a girl.
  41. I have never been able to keep a handwritten diary for longer than a few days or weeks.
  42. I never wear foundation.
  43. My maternal grandfather had narcolepsy and literally would fall asleep in the middle of a sentence.
  44. I have a mean streak that enjoys seeing people like Martha Stewart and Rush Limbaugh get what's coming to them.
  45. I hate having balloons anywhere near my head because I fear having them pop close to me.
  46. I adore "The Brady Bunch," "Leave it to Beaver" and "The Andy Griffith Show."
  47. I can't tolerate loud, shrill or otherwise unpleasant noises, especially electronic beeps, buzzers and alarms.
  48. I usually prefer second helpings of dinner more than dessert.
  49. I love bookstores almost as much as yarn stores.
  50. I've been to Bolivia twice (thanks, Dad!).
  51. I have 20/20 vision.
  52. I have a secret desire to get a tattoo, but haven't yet come up with an image that I want to live with for the rest of my life.
  53. I prefer knitting with natural fibers, but recognize that synthetics are best for certain applications (mostly machine-washability).
  54. I'm a little bit of a snob where garter-stitch scarves are concerned.
  55. I adore my digital camera.
  56. I don't like being interrupted, but am sometimes guilty of interrupting others.
  57. I like my Game Boy and especially like the puzzle games.
  58. My husband and I have both been married (once each) before.
  59. I don't believe in the traditional Christian definitions of God, Heaven or Hell, although I believe in mystical life forces, positive energy, and the power of the human spirit.
  60. My worst critic has always been myself.
  61. In my opinion, the combination of colors, fibers and/or stitches is what makes a knitted project wonderful, not the choice of yarn.
  62. I have a fascination with great architecture, especially skyscrapers.
  63. I believe that most doctors, hospitals, and the healthcare system in general in the U.S. are all greatly in need of reform.
  64. I usually vote Democratic.
  65. I like things that are modular.
  66. I don't believe in the designated hitter.
  67. Going through the car wash is a fun adventure for me.
  68. I hate talking on the telephone.
  69. I inherited my creative energy [which is the driving force in my life] from my mother.
  70. Large crowds of people annoy me.
  71. Motion sickness keeps me from riding many of the amusement park rides and flying in anything other than a jet.

  73. I like gadgets but usually can't justify the price.
  74. I'm curious about death, but am otherwise not afraid of it.
  75. I hate governmental red tape, bureauracy and inflated egos.
  76. It really upsets me when people abuse animals.
