Marion Leeds Carroll performed small roles in small companies
and large roles in totally invisible companies in NYC, before
moving to Massachusetts, where she's mostly been directing:
Gilbert and Sullivan for various companies, opera
workshops, and recently, Shakespeare for the MIT
Community Players. (Check out the outrageously
flattering interview at Boston
Singers' Resource.) She has performed in and organized
Summer Concerts for Longwood, and played "Mum" in
Longwood's June 2002 Albert
Herring. She rates a spot on this page because - hey!
- I'm the webmistress here! My fall 2004 project: organizing
a second benefit
concert for the Boston
Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis. (Want to help out
with the third, next year? - let me know! bostoncure

Evan
Denmark, tenor, made his Longwood Opera debut in the fall
of 2004 as Rodolfo in La Boheme
and is grateful to Scott and Jeffrey for the opportunity to
be part of a warm company with such a long and storied history.

himself as a performer in demand for his rich vocal tone,
musicianship and elegant stage presentation. He has appeared
with Opera Providence,

Theatre and New
England Light Opera. Roles sung include Rodolfo (La Boheme),

The Magic Flute, and performed
the title role in the fall 2003 Tales
of Hoffmann.

our Fall 2002 production of The

Measure of Love. She won a rave in Boston Herald.com's
review of that production, and is on her way to further successes,
both with Longwood and internationally. She has already won
critical acclaim for the title role in our spring 2003 production,
Susannah .
