the Blue River Parkway Trails.

The winter work day for Blue River Parkway is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2009. Check out the
Work Schedule page for more details and updated information.
The impromptu clean up work day on July 4, 2008 was a great success. Thanks to Bill Brant, Aaron Browning,
Scott Cotter, Steve Duckworth, Eric Griffin, David Hoefer, Leslie Karlin, Phil Scherer, and Barbara Whitcomb
spending several hours of their holiday helping out with clean up.
The Trail Watcher assignments were updated for 2008. Check out
the Trail Assignments page for the new assignments.
Look for the new signs going up at BRP! Phillip Scherer has done a great job
creating and mounting the new signs.
Please check out the Safety
Information page before you head out on the trails. It has a very important message and some
helpful tips. Nobody expects or wants to get hurt, but it happens. Please keep safety in mind to
keep injuries at bay.

The primary trail running through the hills east of Blue River Rd. has been named the
"Bo Ho Ca" Trail. Where did this name originate?? Take a look at the
1934 Topological Maps
and you'll see a reference to "Camp Bo Ho Ca". The camp was located
in the hills, just across Blue River Rd. from where the "122nd and Blue River" soccer
fields are now located.
