Imagine that the forest is alive........filled with a very ancient spirit, which is aware and watching.
If that spirit wished to make direct contact with the human beings that stray into it's realm, it might manifest as a humanoid creature......composed of the living plants and branches of the forest.
The Greenman can be found in various guises, tucked into ancient carvings in buildings, temples,and cathedrals all over Europe.
Not considered either malevolent, or beneficial, it is simply 'not human', and therefore unpredictable.
Be careful and respectful in your interactions with the forest, and try not to get on a Greenman's bad side.


The 'Greenman' is a privately commissioned bronze sculpture by Deran Wright. The sculpture is approximately lifesize, 5'8" high, and is installed directly into the branches of a tall tree, overlooking a meadow on a private estate.
