MISSION STATEMENT:
To produce productions on stage, screen, canvas, the written page, and recorded media -
from comedy to drama - with social insight, compassion and commitment to inform while
firmly standing on the outer edges of the norm.
BROKENARMPRODUCTIONS:
BAP was founded in 1986 by Joseph Langham when he was a high school student in an art class
with a broken arm. His first production was a drawing with a piece of chalk wedged into his
cast. It was his best of the year. His teacher said it was because he finally concentrated on
something. Since then everything he has concentrated on has been a BrokenArmProduction(BAP).
Monica Cortez joined the company in 1997 a few days after their wedding day. To date BAP has
produced several plays and comedy shows, a comedic CD, two short films and one art show. We continue
to bring our special brand of entertainment to the off-off world of New York City. We certainly hope
you'll come see one of our productions and bring some friends. Heck, bring them all if you can.
