I find Clymer's Marine Manuals an excellent source for information when it comes to service manuals. They offer comprehensive detailed service information for outboards, and stern drive units with the most up to date information in the industry. The step-by-step text in these books is geared toward the do-it-yourself owners as well as expert mechanics. Every conceivable part assembly is illustrated with hundreds of photos, drawings, and tables. This manual is a bargain at it's $34.95 cost. Every boater should have one to help with everything from daily maintenance to major repairs. Highly recommended.
