Here you will find information on our fundraising efforts
to bring our children home. We planned and saved however, we still find we will need to do some fundraising to complete our
adoption. There have been expenses we didn't count on in the early planning stages and with the price of everything going
up-up-up it's made everything a little tighter.
Some may think that if we need to "raise the money" to pay
for our adoption we shouldn't be adopting. We would love to pay for our adoption with out help but, it's just not possible.
In fact the majority of people doing domestic and international and even fertility treatments do some kind of fundraising.
Could you walk into a car dealership and pay thirty thousand
cash for a car? If you can, Good For You! Unfortunately, the reality is that most of us can't. Most of us buy a car on
a payment plan.
While we don't have that much cash on hand we are capable
of being financially responsible for two additional children once they are home. And, much more importantly they will be ours
and we will love them.
Currently we anticipate our total adoption expenses to be
$ 28,000.00. This is from start to finish for two children, about a month of housing in Ukraine while we go through the process
in-country, INS fees, round trip airfare for 4 plus the additional 2 tickets coming home, our agency and home study fees here,
our dossier translation fees and facilitation team fees. There are more but these are the bigger fees.
