R-CoSA PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
- There will be no cross-talk, please. Each person is free to express their feelings without interruption. Please try to limit your sharing to 3-5 minutes.
- We do not give advice. We use the first person, "I," not "we" or "you." If we want to respond to what someone has said, we speak only in terms of our own experience.
- We will avoid sexually explicit descriptions and not use foul language.
- If anyone feels uncomfortable about how specific a speaker is regarding any sexual situations, you may indicate so by raising your hand. The speaker will then respect your boundaries by being less specific in their descriptions.
- We work on uncovering and repairing our own defects. We do not take away from our own recovery by focusing on someone else's defects. We avoid self-pity and blaming others.
- By arriving on time and sharing regularly, we give of ourselves to others in the group. We get back recovery.
- Anonymity and confidentiality are a must. Who and what is shared in the group stays in our group!
- We work at allowing Jesus to transform us by the renewing of our minds. We focus on developing a deeper, personal relationship with Christ.
