BRIDGEVIEW FIRE DEPARTMENT
FIRE SUPPRESSION
The Bridgeview Fire Department operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year with a shift manning of no less than eight full time firefighters and a maximum of twelve. Every firefighter is trained to a minimum level of firefighter II by the state standards, and most go on to a level of firefighter III. Along with firefighter training all firefighters  must be trained in hazardous material awareness, trench rescue awareness, and confined space awareness.

The Bridgeview Fire Department operates with two front line engines, two reserve engines, a Battalion Chief's car and a Chief's car.

Our newest engine is a 2003 Spartan Metro Star designed by Crimson Fire.
It has a 1500 GPM Waterous pump, with a 750 gal. water tank.

Powered by a Cummins diesel engine.

Our second front line engine  is a 1997 Luverne Legend 580XL. It has a 1500 GPM Waterous pump, with a 750 gal. water tank.
Powered by a Cummins diesel engine.

Our reserve engine at station one is a 1987 KME.
It has a 1500 GPM Darley pump, with a 750 gal. water tank.
Powered by a Cummins L10 diesel engine.

Our reserve engine at station two is a 1994 Pierce Dash
It has a 1500 GPM Waterous pump, with a 750 gal. water tank.
Powered by a Detroit Series 60 diesel engine.
