When he was 14 years old, Brian snuck out his window to go see a show at the Hate House in downtown Phoenix. There, he ran into a skater named Michael Cornelius who he had met a little while before at Mark Cady's ramp. Mike told Brian he and some friends were putting together a skate band and they needed a singer. He asked Brian if he could scream and Brian yelled into Mike's ear at the top of his lungs. A lead screamer was born.
Since then Brian has traveled far and wide with JFA, skating sessions and playing with bands that have now passed into legend. He's worked as Music Editor and Art Director for Thrasher Magazine and Editor of community newspapers, magazines and technical journals. He serves as a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy Reserve and has visited Nicaragua, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Colombia, Panama and Pearl Harbor. When he's not home with his family, he still skates, surfs and sees live bands whenever he has a chance.
Through it all he learned to keep a positive outlook because you can never step into the same river twice.
