I was born in Kaiser SF in 1969.  My parents moved to the Rockridge area in Oakland where I attended Chabot elementary school.  I enjoyed roller skating and collecting comic books.  My favorite series was the X-men.  My friends and I would ride the 51 bus to Berkeley to go to Comic Relief.  I went to St. Augustine's for 7th and 8th grade.  We had to wear green uniforms and the public school kids made fun of us.  Then my family moved to Piedmont and I became a mighty Scot at Piedmont High until leaving for college at UC Berkeley.  I graduated with a degree in Biophysics from the Molecular Cell Biology department.  I was on the debate team for two years before deciding I'd be better suited for Medical school.  I then traversed across the coast to attend SUNY-Brooklyn.  After 4 years of the East Coast I returned to California to do an Internal Medicine Residency at Harbor-UCLA.  Finally, like a salmon going home to spawn, I returned home to Piedmont and started a job at Kaiser Richmond.  Things have been going well.  I married Linh in 2002.  We had Luke in 2004.  In 2005, I hope to run the SF Half Marathon.
