Clyde died July 31, 1965 in Miami, DADE, FL, at 71 years of age. He died at Veterans Hospital in Miami. Ruth became the mother of Ruth Joy Willerford in Chicago, DU PAGE, IL, April 21, 1929.

At 34 years of age Clyde became the father of Ruth Joy Willerford in Chicago, DU PAGE, IL, April 21, 1929.
Of all the Willerfords, Clyde led the most interesting life. As a young man he joined the Tennessee National Guard. Soon his unit was called up by the US Army and sent to Mexico to chase Poncho Villa. Shortly after that experience, the US entered the war (WWI) in Europe. He served as an artillery officer in France fighting the Axis Allies with the US Army.
After the war, he returned to Miami where he raised a family. It was there that he died from an embolism in 1965.

Her body was interred August 13, 1996 in Miami, DADE, FL, Woodlawn Park. Her funeral was held in Miami, DADE, FL, August 12, 1996.(59) Orbituary of Ruth Joy Willerford:
WILLERFORD, Ruth Joy, 67 of North Miami, died August 10, 1996. She was Vice-president and Auditor at City National Bank and was respected in the banking field for 50 years. Her concern was always for others and will be sorely missed by her loving friends and family. Visitation Monday, August 12 from 7-9PM with funeral services 8PM at Lowe-Hanks, 4850 Palm Ave.
She was cremated in Miami, DADE, FL, August 13, 1996.
