What do you mean, rational? A rational number is the RATIO of 2 integers. But we express these ratios in many ways, depending on their use. All of them are equivalent, and learning how to use them and how to convert from one form to another is important	Example - the ratio of 5 to 8 a fraction: 5/8 a decimal fraction: .625 a percent: 62.5%
