set in 1935. Our family endured the Great Depression in a small Wisconsin town where my mother worked as
a cleaning lady one day per week for a local doctor. None of us were aware that her earnings were used solely to provide
our family's happy Christmas, thus compensating fot the sorrowful holidays she endured as a child after she was uprooted from
an orphanage in New York and brought to Wisconsin at the age of six on one of the controversial Ophan Trains....
A narration that will vibrate long after the
