>>>and so, what is the purpose of the 1000 year reign after Jesus comes?>>>
Hello, Mark, and thanks for the question.
It is a time of teaching. and discipline. Details are given in the last 8 chapters of Ezekiel.
The reason for it is that many will be decieved by the False Messiah, who is none other than the master deciever,
2 Cor 11:1-3
1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as
a chaste virgin to Christ.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds
should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (KJV)
2 Cor 11:13-15
13 For such are false apostles,
deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed
into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;
whose end shall be according to their works. (KJV)
II Th 2:1-5
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled,
neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you
by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God
sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told
you these things?(KJV)
These were the foolish virgins who truly loved Christ, but were decieved by 'rapture' and
'any moment' doctrines. So--
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into
the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day,
Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (KJV)
in spite of the warnings in the Word.
14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in
my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and
divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.(KJV)
4 Tell us, when shall these things
be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take
heed lest any man deceive you:
6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (KJV)
they spend 1000 years learning to believe what is written rather than what some 'good brother' says.
has promised that all will get a chance to hear with understanding:
17 But Israel shall be saved in the
LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. (KJV)
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness
from Jacob: (KJV)
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every
tongue shall confess to God. (KJV)
21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that
have not heard shall understand. (KJV)
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore
that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. (KJV)
So, you can believe that it will happen as it is written. See the details in the last 9 chapters
