What is WetVan?!?

Or should I say, what WAS WetVan??!!

WetVan is an exploration of the notion that two distinct liquids dictate much of our 21st century behavior: oil and water. I steer towards an aesthetic parable powered by these two stringent scarcities. High mileage and higher octane combine to fuel an auto-motivated, drive-by day dream. This art comes fully loaded; goes vrooom. Happy motoring!

You can almost smell that "new car" smell.

But WetVan is more. WetVan is an art investigation of material, and surface and mark-making and monumental, three-dimensionality. It is more than the 1986 Chevy Astro with a face lift. WetVan is my tactile obsessive pursuit and personal love affair with fossil-fuel propelled dinosaurs.
