Explanation of Scoring Codes Used

We use the following codes in HNC scoring records:

A number after the player's first name indicates that he won the HNC in that year.

    Example: John 95 Waddy

Prizes won are indicated by the following codes:

D indicates a daily prize and is followed by a number which indicates the place won that day and possibly preceded by a number that indicates how many of those prizes won. No preceding number indicates only one such prize. Daily  prizes are awarded for the first four places but keep in mind that in the first two rounds, there are two winners of each prize because it is a two-man team competition.

Examples: D3 indicates a Daily third place prize. 2D2 indicates two Daily second place finishes. D2/4  indicates a four way tie for a Daily second place prize.

T indicates a Tournament, 72 hole prize. Tournament prizes are awarded to the first eight places.

Examples: T2 indicates the player won second place in the 72 hole tournament. T1 indicates he won!

In the order of finish T20 means tied for 20th place.  There are no ties for the first 8 places for the 72 hole Tournament because we break ties for those prizes with a match of cards
