“Romancing Roslindale”— an exhibit of digital prints depicting scenes from the streets of Roslindale Village. Utilizing a “blur” or “soft focus,” Bob Ward, the photographer, creates romantic moods of recognizable images of this community he fondly calls home—Roslindale.
His images of soft lines and shapes seeks to capture real places with an unconventional way of viewing photographs. With subdued lines and unclear shapes, Bob Ward creates dream-like memories and romantic thoughts seeking to provoke more than just a blurry surface to the viewer.
