New York City 1994

To try to make some kind of sense of this story, maybe I should start with my time in New York City in 1994-5. I moved to New York to attend photography school at the International Center of Photography -- to learn how to succeed as a photojournalist. But instead of finding a path to a successful career, I discovered that the most important thing that I could do with my camera is tell my own story.
