Pigs in Blankets

 

Ingredients

- 4 cups flour

- 2 tablespoons baking powder

- 1.5 teaspoons salt

- 3 tablespoons sugar

- 6 tablespoons shortening

- water or milk for desired consistency

- 24 hot dogs (pre-cooked)

 

1.) Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, shortening, water/milk (to biscuit consistency).

2.) Pinch off small pieces of dough and flatten into strips or elongated patties. 

3.) Wrap each hot dog in a strip of dough. 

4.) Knead the sides of the dough together. 

5.) Cook in a reflector oven or on a skewer over fire.
