What is important to me as a potter is creating an object that is useful, affordable and aesthetically pleasing. It's great when a customer says " I use your mug every morning for that first cup of coffee"!

The aesthetic focus of my work is the effect of glazes combining, and the controlled flow of the glazes as they fire. I work with the firing of the pots and try to control it to some extent, but I'm often surprised at the results, sometimes with spectacularly beautiful pieces, sometimes the opposite.
