These are pictures from the May 2, 1998 "Bird's Nest" event at California Speedway.
Pontiac invited a group of Firebird owners to come see the IROC Firebirds race up close. Best of all, was that we also got to take our cars on a parade lap around the track prior to the start of the race.
A big THANK YOU goes to Jim Matteson from Pontiac Historic Services and Derek Randles from the So Cal F-Body club for putting the event together and to my camera man Joel McCall for the great pictures.
