There are Advantages in Working in a Small Group

• There are more brains working on the project
• Each person is stimulated by the others. (But only if the others are taking part!).
• Sometimes the work can be divided up between group members.
• When a group works well together and does a good job, they often learn to like each other more.

Responsibility to Yourself

When you are in a small group, failing to contribute is the same as "Shooting yourself in the foot." When you fail to work in a group, the result will not be as good as when everyone works. And because you all get the same grade, then your grade will be lower. BANG! OUCH!

Responsibility to the Group

If you don't help to make the results better, then the grade may not be as high, and that hurts the other members of the group. They other group members won't like that!

Contributing to the Group

Don't hold back. Sometimes ideas that may seem silly will stimulate someone else to come up with a good idea. This is one of the powers of a small group. This is why we never make fun of another person's idea!
