Teaching Goals
- Introduce the concept of worldview, and how it
can impact a person.
- Define 2 poor worldviews and one good
worldview.
- How to overcome poor worldviews.
- It is an aid to help one's self, or in helping
others who have a poor worldview.
Preparation

- Make copies to hand out after reading. These
are for students to have as ready reference to help them if they
decide to work on their worldview as some might.

How we view the world can have a very strong
effect on how successful we will be in every aspect of our lives.
Hopefully, this will come out in the essay, "Your
Worldview."
Introduction
The information in this essay could be very
helpful to you, or in you helping other people.
As I read the essay, keep your mind open to find
the answers to these questions. Taking notes is a good idea! (Note
down these questions. I will be asking some of you for the
answers.)
- What are the three worldviews the essay
discusses? Be able to define or describe
them.
- Which is the good one?
- Why are the other two bad? Be
able to give the reason(s) why each is bad.

Have the essay handy, for your referral. Use a
directed discussion.

- Only one is good. Which is it?
- Why are the other two bad? Be able to give the
reason(s) why each is bad.
- Have any of you known a person, or heard of a
person who you see as an example of any one of these three
worldviews? Tell us about it without identifying them.

- Listen to accounts. Discuss as
appropriate.

- For practice, either for yourself, or for the
possibility you may someday be helping someone else, I want you to
create a list of good things in your life and good things about
the people you know. Start now. Take 10 Minutes.
