Relevancy

How we view the world can have a very strong effect on how successful we will be in every aspect of our lives. Hopefully, this will come out in the essay, "Your Worldview."

Introduction

The information in this essay could be very helpful to you, or in you helping other people.

As I read the essay, keep your mind open to find the answers to these questions. Taking notes is a good idea! (Note down these questions. I will be asking some of you for the answers.)

  1. What are the three worldviews the essay discusses? Be able to define or describe them.
  2. Which is the good one?
  3. Why are the other two bad? Be able to give the reason(s) why each is bad.

Presentation

Read the essay, "Your Worldview."

Discussion

Have the essay handy, for your referral. Use a directed discussion.

  1. What are the three worldviews the essay discusses? Be able to define or describe them.
  2. Only one is good. Which is it?
  3. Why are the other two bad? Be able to give the reason(s) why each is bad.
Have any of you known a person, or heard of a person who you see as an example of any one of these three worldviews? Tell us about it without identifying them.

Listen to accounts. Discuss as appropriate.

For practice, either for yourself, or for the possibility you may someday be helping someone else, I want you to create a list of good things in your life and good things about the people you know. Start now. Take 10 Minutes.

Collect and then share (some) lists.
