EDUCATION IN BLYTHE AND THE PALO VERDE VALLEY

The Palo Verde Unified School District and The Palo Verde Community College District have structured education in our valley to enable students, without leaving the valley, to participate in an academic program extending from preschool through a two year college degree.

The Palo Verde Unified School District operates three elementary schools, one middle school, and two high schools. The Palo Verde Community College District operates Palo Verde Community College, a two year institution awarding associate degrees and preparing students for upper division work. The college has four campuses. There is a new campus on the mesa west of the valley. The Spring Street Campus is in downtown Blythe and houses noncredit courses and the Small Business Economic Development Center. There is also a campus in Needles, about one-hundred miles north of Blythe, and the Ben Clark Training Center in Riverside, California.
