GIGS SPECIAL EVENT! Saturday, August 23, blues all day at the Bristol! It's a fundraiser for the Ralph and Chandler Bruning Fund. This is our second annual fundraiser. Money raised goes to scholarships for brewing arts, culinary arts and music. Bristol Brewing Company will host the party this year, with bands from noon until 8, and all proceeds from pint beer sales going to the fund. Band schedule (tentative): noon - John Stone and John Wise 2 pm - John-Alex Mason and Gerry Hundt 3:30 - Alan Joseph (with Mark Neifhoff and Randy Bowen) 5 pm - Mark Jackson and Dan Todd (with Santi Guarnera and Dennis McCarthy)
6 pm - Magic Dave and The New Mules, featuring Smokin' Joe (with Walter Chase, By Wednesday, I will post the final schedule for this FREE event and an address where you can send donations if you aren't coming. For those harp players who'd like to know, I exclusively play Hohner Marine Band harps. When I can I use Marine Bands that have been customized by Honey Bee Harps. These are the best Marine Band harps I've ever played ...and they are customized in a way that does not change the feel or the sound from the original.
