 MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FOR 2010

Aloha everyone, it is that time of the year that I start to collect membership dues for the year 2010.  I just got the renewal packet from BK International.

This year has been a great year with a surge of new members.  We still have a long way to go.  We are approaching the 50’s, and we are still looking to grow.

Our sister club Hui Makai is also making headway and we wish them the best.  Ex-solo bikes are looking to grow also and we are fortunate to have some of them on board with us as Blue Knights Hawaii 1 members.

Trying to get members to renew their membership is the toughest part of being a Secretary/Treasurer.  Please, just send me $30.00 for your 2010 renewal membership.  As you all know, $20.00 goes to Blue Knights International located in Maine, $1.00 per member goes to Blue Knights West Coast Conference, and $1.00 per member goes to the “Help Fund” for those who died while riding their motorcycle as a Blue Knights Member.  The other $8.00 goes back into our chapter funds for things such as stamps, envelopes, Post Office Box rental at Kaneohe and other items that are necessary to keep our chapter functioning. Our balance as of 12 Oct 2009 is, $862.00.  We are not poor but we are not rich either.  Some of that money is from 4 members who have paid for their 2010 membership renewal.  I thank these members for being prompt.  I still have to purchase stamps, envelopes and Clasp Folders.  I also have to reimburse myself for the postage on sending all the large envelops to our new members.

Again, I need to start collecting your membership dues and I do not want to chase people for the $30.00, so everyone, help me out and send in your dues to:
